We wanted The Wellington City Mission brand to be clear and strong throughout the new website.
On-line donations mean that 100% of money donated to The Wellington City Mission will reach The Mission directly, there is no intermediary taking a percentage of donations along the way. This makes for high effect from monies donated to The Mission.
The Wellington City Mission's brand had become muddied and diluted with various graphic additions that were irrelevant to or detracted from what was otherwise a strong brand. When we created this new website our major aim was to get back to the core branding. Additionally, the function of The Wellington City Mission is often misunderstood by the public. With the new design we wanted to make it clear to the public that The Mission covers six distinct areas of need in Wellington, The Mission is not merely providing meals at a city drop in centre. A home for the elderly in Titahi Bay and secondary education for school age children in Wellington city are just two specific areas of work undertaken by the Wellington City Mission.
